Transmission Components Ltd was formed in 1983 following the closure of the Borg-Warner Engineering and Design Centre. We are based on the old site of Borg-Warner in Letchworth, occupying 15,000 square feet and employ 16 people.

Between the staff and partners there is over 100 years of experience in design, engineering and assembly of Transmission Component products.

Transmission Components have designed, developed and put into production a 4-wheel drive transfer box for a UK car manufacturer.

We have various Dynometers for testing transmissions and currently rebuild automatic transmissions and torque converters for:

The company has a comprehensive machine shop and gear cutting and manufacturing facility.
